Shipping container village for startups in Amsterdam
Business hub for startups set up using containers in an Amsterdam science park
From Pop Brixton to Boxpark Shoreditch, shipping containers have been used to create vibrant shopping and office spaces all over the world and with great success. Julius Taminiau, an architect in Amsterdam, knows this too well. He worked at Carl Turner Architects in London the company and was part of the team that helped create London’s Pop Brixton. Now Julius has created something remarkable in Amsterdam, a shipping container village for startup businesses.
Located in Amsterdam Science Park startup village is a creative and impressive enterprise area that allows business of all shapes and sizes to grow and flourish whilst being cost effective. The recycled containers are positioned in an open planned layout and there are even 2 levels with containers being stacked to create 2 floors. Containers are becoming more and more popular amongst architects around the world and for good reason.
